The town of Elland isn't on a direct road from Leeds, so why that road got named so in the city can only be conjecture for the moment. Scrumpy is so named because it's a type of apple, and this cider is named with no conjecture needed. Bitter and sweet in taste, there's more sweetness in its aftertaste and it's very stated here. Aroma is average.

On tap at Red Lion, Histon. Cloudy golden, almost no head. Apples, apple juice, too sweet, smooth texture. Low carbonation. Light to medium bodied.

Mini-box @ The Abbey. Pours hazed orange, a geuinely bizarre taste, with pickled onion and almost no apple fruit coming through. Exceptionally dry, light on the palate, really odd.

BIAB at Strathmore Arms Cider Fesitval 2017. Clear orangey gold colour, afew bubbles on top, and light fruity apple aroma. Taste is woody, apple core, alittle fruity, with some astringency and drying tannins. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry tannic finish. Quite drinkable.
