500ml bottle from Craft Beer Market. Vintage 2011-12, Bottle No. 0259. Hazy pale yellow colour, white foam head that rapidly dissipates away and aroma of pear, barnyard, with vinegary hints. Taste is very tart, pear, vinegary and funky. Slick mouthfeel, light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, drying sour finish. Quite OK.

11/12 bottle. Pale yellow, no head. Moderate carbonation. Sharpish aroma of damp hay, pears, apples, furniture polish. Not as dry as expected at first with nice ripe pears but sourness, bracken and funk creep up and in the end overwhelm the fruit. After a while I was inclined to interpret that more as a finish and enjoyed it more. A bit much for me.

This was from the 2011-2012 vintage, and was tasted at the brewery. Cloudy, a bit funky, hint of pear, yeasty. Soft body. Sharper phenols in the finish.
