A variation of our “classic” ReAle based on hops! Different hop varieties are added during the last 10 minutes of the boil, we add 3 times as much! The result is an explosion of aromas, from citrusy to resins (pine and incense). At the first sip your taste buds will be pleasantly overdriven by its bitterness that lead to a very pleasant and persistent tangerine note.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 18B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch LS18314A. AROMA: nice hop aroma with tropical fruit notes and some resin, balanced with a malty sweet background. APPEARANCE: dark gold color and hazy with material in suspension. medium, light ivory head with below average retention. TASTE: balanced flavour between hops (tropical fruits and some resin) and a moderate sweet malty background. medium bitterness that lingers into a semi-dry and bitter finish. PALATE: medium-light body with moderate carbonation. no astringency. OVERALL: a very nice APA, with a bit more alcohol.

IPA from one of those interesting Italian micros, with a name which is apparently short for "rethinking ale". Comes from a very elegant bottle the shape of which I’d rather associate with something like balsamico or olive oil - Italians know how to be elegant, of course... Creamy, dense, snow white head leaving tooth-shaped lacings on the wall of the glass; colour is a hazy, warm orange blonde with a ’fog’ of minute yeast cells and calm fizz. Appetizing, fresh aroma, most of all citrussy and somewhat less ’dank’ or ’weedy’ than many other IPAs I had; elegance is again the key word here. I get fresh orange juice, fresh mango, lemon zest, vanilla, mandarin peel, moscatel wine, sweet honey, overripe pineapple, spring flowers, freshly cut nettles in spring, minerals too, hint of caramel. Smooth and utterly elegant flavour, extremely fruity at first, a whole basket of exotic fruits with tons of citrus juice and zest, pineapple, orange, papaja, gentle but very refreshing acidic lime juice accent, soft carbonation, supple and subtle caramelly malt backbone, minerals, bitter honey, gradually evolving into a long hop bitter finish, drying and mouth watering, very elegant again, very bitter but in a gracious, gentle kind of way, very citrussy, floral and spicy. Perhaps not the most complex IPA, but certainly one of the most elegant ones I had so far. Delightful, extremely elegant in presentation, aroma and flavour - I almost get a ’feminine’ feeling about this. Viva Italia!

Clear medium amber colour, good frothy white head, diminishes slowly, good lacing. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, yeast, pine, floral notes. Taste medium bitter, light sweet, citrusy. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, finish medium bitter, light sweet fruity notes, a nice example of a smooth and mellow IPA.

~14 oz Teku glass draft at Birreria @ Eataly in New York. The pour is hazed orange golden with a smallish white head. Nice lace left on the glass. The aroma is a nice blend of fresh cracker biscuit malt and fruit citrus hoppiness. Very present nose. The taste matches the nose, blend of biscuit malt with fresh fruit and citrus hops. The palate is medium bodied with active carbonation and a dry clean finish. Tasty beer.

330 ml bottle from Ammersin Centerstore, Vienna.
Amber, hazy body, with a big, creamy, lacing, white head.
Aroma of citrus, sweet berries, peach, tropical fruits, biscuit.
Tastes of grapefruit, peach, orange, pine, some tropical fruits, biscuit, some candy.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes bitter, with lemon zest, pine, sweet malts.
Very nice. Pretty sweet, with lots of sweet fruits and malts, but also well balanced, so that it is very drinkable. Nothing outstanding overall, but a tasty, classic example of a modern IPA nonetheless.

Aroma has grapefruit, gooseberry bush, orange and minerals. Flavour has caramel, gluey tones, grapefruit, orange and minerals. A bit odd but somewhat refreshing.

Bottle. Golden color, white head. Aroma of hop, mandarine and passion fruit. Tastes fresh and bitter, with citrus, mandarine and bitter grassy hops. Bit flat unfortunately. High on the carbs. Decent beer.

A hazy, slightly orange beer with a dense, medium and blond head. Aroma is strongly citrusfruity and also tropical. Grapefruits, mangos, some papaiyas and sweetness of fruit candies, also generic fruitness. Taste has fruits and mangos, medium bitterness is slightly piney and also slightly herbal in the end. Medium bodied, quite smooth carbonation. Tasteful, aromatic and easy IPA. Good beer.
