27/4/2019. Can from Two Brews, Colchester. Pours clear dark gold with a white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, summer fruits, malt, caramel and light pine. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness, hint of tartness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Dry, slight metallic finish. Disappointing.

Can split at L6, thanks to the Wingman, 31/10/18. Hazed orange with a reddish glint topped with a decent off white cap. Nose is citric sherbets, red berry pips, grass, straw, airy malts. Taste comprises bitter orange, straw, toasted grains, melon, bramble berries, lemon rind. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so.

Can from Wine Rack, Burpham. Acidic berry aroma with grass and wood. Opaque orange-amber. Bubbly white head soon fades. Was expecting the hedgrow element to come into play but that's pretty well hidden behind the hops. Medium bitter with a vague hint of sourness. Booze. Medium bodied. Slick. Fizzy carbonation. Astringent finish. Drinkable but for me it fails to deliver. Too boozy.

Can. Almost clear amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light and mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Light malts, mildly sweet. Smooth piney hop. Mild bitternes. The hedgerow berries come through and announce themselves in soft tones, certainly not shouty. Modest orange and orange peel. Smooth finish. Never been convinced that hops and berries belong together. This beer assuages that concern but doesn't eliminate it. There is some berry - hop uneasy tension here but overall the beer works. Smooth finish. Piney berry linger, slighty bitter, some strawberry. Yeah, like this one.

440ml can from Caps Off, Bishop Auckland. Hazy orange amber colour, off-white foamy head leaving lacing and aroma of fruity hops. Taste is malty, caramel, spicy fruity, floral with mellow citrus, woody pine and resiny earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable
