Bottle from Gloucester Services, Gloucestershire. Rose-red coloured cider. Despite its name it’s not as sweet as you might expect it to be, possibly as the fruit in this one is understated.

330ml bottle from Gloucester Services southbound. Shared with Soph at Boyd Farm Campsite. Pours pink with a light mist. Assorted sweet berries on the nose. Taste is predominantly fruity berries, with cherries, redcurrant, blackberry and elderberries, medium-sweet, generally clean with low cider apple complexity, a touch tart, low acidity. Bright carbonation. Ok.

330ml bottle 4%, from Green Dragon Ale House, Whitby. Reddish orangey-pink colour, short-lived fizzy white foam head and aroma of funky apple & berry. Taste is fruity berry, elderflower, green apple, alittle apple core and skin, with some drying tannin. Light bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry slightly tart finish. Quite OK.

Bottle at SISGA 2015. Slightly thin and watery, but quite nicely balanced cider with several fruity elements. Most of it is general fruitiness, but elderberry and apple are distinguishable, as are dark berries of some sort. Easy drinking. Very good.
