A Munich helles malt profile of biscuit, cracker and toast, supports a spicy, herbal German Pils hop character. A snap of bitterness and a medium-light body give this classic golden pale lager a superb balance of malt and hops.
Fools Gold - Streik flüssiges Gold.

Brewed for the Fanzine beer club.

330ml can from Brewdog Fanzine. BBE Jul 2018. Pours clear yellowish golden with a thick white head. Aroma of grainy malts, grass, hay and citrus with hints of cardboard and earthiness. Taste is crisp, sweetish and grainy with some hay, grass and earthiness. Finish is dry, earthy and grassy with some hay, citrus and herbal notes. Okay.

Loosing head quickly. Easy enough to drink, but not more than that. #Fanzine02

33cl can from Brewdog. Fanzine #2. Clear golden color. Thin, white head. Grainy, dusty, crisp hoppy aroma. Flavor has grass, grains, dust and minerals. Light, ok drinkability but on the sweeter side.

Can 330ml (Fanzine #2)
Golden colour, small white head. Grainy, herbal German hoppy aroma with some sweetness. Light-bodied. Flavour is similar. Herbal-grainy flavour, some green apple fruityness. Clean, crisp, sweetish fruity German-style lager.

Can from Fanzine #2 Not bad for Scotch crew doing it German way. Sweetish, malty, rather low carbonation, low bitterness. It's okay.

330ml can on the train, Fanzine #2 bought at Brewdog Tower Hill. Pours straw gold in colour, with a white foam head leaving lacing and grainy grassy aroma. Taste is sweet malt, grains, hay with grassy metallic bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry spicy grassy finish. Quite drinkable.

Can via BrewDog Fanzine. It pours clear yellow with a medium, foamy white head. The aroma is grassy, herbal, warming spice, hay, cereal, toasty grain, touch of nougat and bread. The taste is dry, touch of bitterness, grassy, straw, hay, light herbal vibes, spiced, doughy bread, cereal and toasty grain with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Well rounded and flavourful. A nice example of the style and one of BrewDog's best lagers.
