This fruity cider brings together bittersweet cider apples with their pomme family third cousin, the quince.

The unique tart astringency of the quince is balanced here by the natural fruity sweetness of our classic keeved cider.

(Bottle) Reddish amber colour with brief, bubbly head. Fruity nose with notes of red apples, apple peel, dried apricots, citrus and blood orange. Fruity, tart taste with red apples, apple skin, dried apricots, blood orange, citrus peel, quince and a tart finish with a slight astringency. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. A bit different, with a slight sweetness, but fresh and tasty. Very nice.

Bottle pour at The Cider House - Borough Market, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma is very musty, with old leather, sherry-coated apples, and musty farmhouse notes. Flavour is light-to-moderate sweet, with musty apple skins and light farmhouse notes. Falls a little flat with complexity but it's pleasant.

Bottle. Clear golden body with no head. Low carbonation. Aroma of orange jelly and sweet apple. Flavour of sharp apple with a tart lemony finish. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Tart and sharp. An interesting cider but one was plenty.

From keg at Manchester Beer & Cider Festival 24.01.20. Shniny clear golden. Not much head. Excellent aroma and taste of apple peel, perry peel, wild apples, yellow apples and so on. Good and complex!

375ml wired cork bottle from Good Spirits, Glasgow. Golden colour, short-lived fizzy white foam head and aroma of apple, hay, quince. Taste is sweetish, fruity apple, quince, with hay notes. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, semi-dry finish. Quite drinkable

75cl bottle. Pours clear golden copper, light fruity nose. Taste is clean, balanced, light with subtle yet distinct quince integration, distant wood.. clearly a cider rather than a perry, but with a more delicate keeved character rather than the smooth, fleshy fruit that typify Pilton's standard range. I like it, it has finesse, subtlety and it's great to see quince in an English cider.
