A quintessential blend of bittersweet cider infused with freshly pressed blackcurrant juice to create a refreshing, fruit cider. We say no to the typical sugary-sweet fruit cider and offer our own, real cider alternative to what we believe a fruit cider should be.

Bottle from Melbicks Garden Centre, Coleshill. Good - nice quality blackcurrants used and not too sweet. Bad - apple element a bit too much in the background but at least its there. Tasty and better than average for the style in my opinion. Look: clear purple, some pinkish foam Aroma: slight earthy hedgerow fruity blackcurrant juice, faint apple. Taste: semi-sweet (for a flavoured cider), again earthy to fruity blackcurrant juice, a touch of bittersweet apple. Palate: fairly slick but not syrupy, moderate to high carbonation, semi-dry close.

Bottle from Ludlow Food Centre. Appearance - pink to purple and clear. Nose - blackberries with just a hint of fleshy apple supporting it. Taste - again, mainly dry blackberry. Palate - light bodied, dry finish. Overall - one of the more agreeable alco-pops.

Keg at Wolf, Bingoham, 07/12/19. Deep golden pour with a reddish glint. Nose is mixed berry fruit, light funk, straw, apple skins. Taste comprises dusty red berries, apple core, hay bale. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Not bad for a fruit cider ... refreshing after a few boosty beers !
