26/7/2019. Sample courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed! Pours very slightly hazy with a spritzy carbonation and a short lasting white head. Aroma of Dabinett apples, light citrus, earthy, funky, light tannin notes, slightly woody with light floral and vanilla edge. Moderate sweetness and light tartness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Dry, woody, astringent tannin finish. Liked this.

Sample, thanks to danlo! Pours a misty golden orange. Aroma has lightly sweet funk. Taste is a little crisp with some mellow, aged dabinett, subtle funk, some additional butterscotch hints, wild nods. Nice aged blend.

750ml bottle from Scrattings. Hazy sparkling yellow gold colour, short-lived fizzy white foam head and aroma of funky apple. Taste is tangy, mellow, apple, woody, funky, bittersweet with some drying earthy tannin. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

750ml bottle at home. It pours lightly hazy golden with a dissipating fizzy white head. The aroma is funky barnyard upfront, sherbet, spritzy, tangy apple, juicy, musty and sour candy. The taste is rather dry, pretty oaky, wood, tannin, dried leaves, old leather sofa, apple skin and preserved lemon with a very drying finish. Medium body and a bit of spritzy carbonation. Perhaps a touch too dry and woody, but good nonetheless.

75cl bottle. Appearance - golden but more yellow. Initial frothy head from being bottle conditions, then settles down to frantic bubbles. Nose - bitter sweet apples with wood and almost varnishy notes (but not in a bad way). Taste - more of that wood and sweet apple. Almost like sofa polish. Palate - medium bodied and tangy. Long tangy bitter sweet finish. Overall - good stuff.
