This plum porter is rich, heavy, creamy and smooth. It has flavours of treacle, coffee, chocolate and stone fruits. Complex malt bill and plums added to the fermenter create a exceptional porter which is incredibly easy drinking for it strength.

Cask sample from Leeds Beer Festival 2019 courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Brown amber colour, bubbly biege foam head and aroma of plum, malt, chocolate, biscuity. Taste is fruity, juicy plum, biscuity, toffee, malty, chocolate, syrup, with vanilla, wafer, and some bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish with slight tartness and lingering fleshy plum. Nicely drinkable.

Keg at friends of ham. A hazed mahogany brown coloured pour a fine tan head. Aroma is earthy nutty roasted malts, tangy plum. Flavour is composed of semi sweet tangy plum, woody roast cakey malts. Palate is slightly sour, moderate carbonation prickly. Nice.

Bottle. Bier Huis, Ossett. Clear, chestnut brown. Film and sudsy ring, of dirty beige head. Nose has earthy coffee bean. Plum stone. Wood ash. Dried vine fruits. Treacle. Taste is ripe stone fruit sweet, with some earthy, ashy dryness. Mouthfeel stays on the right side of chewy. Fine carbonation. Dry on the finish, with a touch of coffee bitterness. Nice porter. Comes together well.

Cask @ The Grove, Huddersfield. Dark reddy-brown with hardly any head. Has sweet dark malts in its taste, with a potent aroma in this respect in its nose. There’s strong chocolate flavours in here too.
