75cl bottle, thanks to Danlo for this! Pours a deep gold, thin receding bubbles atop. Aroma is rich apple, skin, earthy. Taste presents a sharp acidity, rich stewed apple fruit with a coarse bitterness. Acidity is perhaps a little high, quite astringent and phenolic but you get used to it somewhat. Characterful devon cider.

8/4/2019. Bottle sample courtesy of Danlo, cheers! Pours clear fizzy bright gold without any head forming. Aroma of tart apples, light caramel, cider vinegar, touch of citrus. Light sweetness, medium plus tartness. Medium body, oily texture, average to fizzy carbonation. Dry, astringent finish. Decent.

750ml bottle from Sampford Courtenay. Clear deep golden amber colour, short-lived white foamy head and aroma of funky apple, sharp vinegary hint, woody. Taste is sweetish, tangy orchardy apple, funky, solventy hints, tart with drying tannins. Slick mouthfeel, medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry tangy tart & tannic finish. Nicely drinkable

Bottle from Booths, Media City. Clear golden-orange cider. The apple flavouring is distinctive, mostly dry, heavy tasting and with a sour finish. It’s strength is evident in both aroma and taste, with a sugariness in this respect.
