Chai latte stout, based on the flavours of a winter favourite hug in a mug. Gentle warming spice combines with a sumptuous sweetness, a toasted backbone and a creamy mouthfeel, all wrapped up in a silky stout.

Skipton Beer Festival 2019. Black-brown with highly spiced dark malts, is quite sweet though, but also overbearing. Its tea influence is evident.

Keg at Lucifers, Stockton. Black colour, beige foam head and green tea roasty aroma. Taste is roasty chocolate with green tea notes and biscuit bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry biscuity bitter finish. Quite drinkable

Can. Turner’s, Sheffield. Dark, cola brown. Very sticky, lasting, thin beige head. Nose has fruited loaf. Chocolate truffle. Touch of treacle or syrup. Taste is a little sweet, with soft, fruity dryness. Fair amount of bitterness on the back end. Medium body. Possibly a bit watery for style. Fine carbonation. Surprisingly bitter finish.
