Klasyczny, gładki i niezwykle pijalny stout owsiany. Palone słody w zasypie odpowiadają za kawowo-czekoladowy aromat, płatki owsiane dodają delikatności i aksamitności.

Black with quick fading gassy head. Aroma and flavour have some dark roasted malts. Hints of liquorice. The thin, gassy mouthfeel detracts from the nice flavour somewhat.

On tap at Artezan, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out lactose upfront, with light toasted malt. Flavour brings out gentle toasted malt, with just a hint of lactose. Easy and drinkable, but not very expressive. Nothing special, but it's decent.

Oatmeal stout by one of Poland's most acclaimed new generation craft brewers, bottle from Gedeelde Vreugde. Moussy, medium thick, pale greyish beige, quickly dissipating and hardly lacing head over an ink black beer, only revealing a mahogany hue in the very end. Aroma of olive bread, strong beef stock cube, fried forest mushrooms, soy sauce, bayleaf, gravey, haemoglobin-like iron, cold black tea, walnuts. Restrained sweetishness in the onset, some dried prunes, sourish touch but most of all, a strong beefy, gravy-like umami flavour; soft carbo, smooth and greasy mouthfeel made smooth by the oats, but with a thin metallic edge to it as well. Toasted walnuts, burnt toast and a slender hint of caramel in the middle, tea-ish herbal hop bitter colour in the finish, dryish, with ongoing beefy umami flavours and some yeasty earthiness. Acceptable, but too umami for my taste; mouthfeel is okay except for the metallic aspect. Considering previous Artezan beers I had, I must admit to be a little bit disappointed, I expected more from this one.
