Draught @ De Bekeerde Suster. Hazy yellow golden colour, fine thick frothy white head, good retention and lacing. Malty nose, caramel, fruity, apricot, light banana, yeast. Taste medium sweet and bitter, fruity, creamy. Medium to full body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste mild sweetbitter, more bitterness in the finish, fresh and very nice Tripel.

Sampled @ Bekeerde Suster. Hazy yellow color, medium sized white to off-white head. Smell malts, lightly zesty, a hint of orangepeel, yeast. Taste malts, quite sweet, slightly floral, a hint of herbs or spices, apricot and orangepeel. The sweetness is dominant though. Low ABV for a tripel, thin body, low carbonation. Not impressed at all.

Keg at the brewpub, 25/09/14. Hazed golden orange with a moderate off white covering that retains well. Nose is straw, light caramel, bready notes, faint soap, dried apricots. Taste comprises yeast esters, candied fruit peel, light spice, caramel, dark fruit rinds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok tripel, the sweet elements are timpered fairly well with some bitter notes.

Draught @ the brewpub. Quite light aroma wity citrus and apricot. Also some distant herbal tones. Flavour has sweet apricot, fruit candy and toffee. Feels a bit watery and finishes with odd and unpleasant with milky tones and flour. Meh.

Draught @ Bekeerede Suster. Rated on 23.06.2015
Aroma is sticky and mild with sweet fruits and bush leaves. Flavour has apricot, some sugary tones, mild mineral notes and ripe fruits at finish. Stickyish palate. Rather bland for this style.

Ordinary tripel. Seems like they wanted to brew a people pleaser. No special taste to scare people of, but this makes the beer quite boring.

Hazy, bright yellow color, steady creamy white head, lace. Clove, bubblegum, spices in the nose. Medium-bodied. Fruity, spicey, leathery, some coriander and other disturbing yeasty spiceyness. All 3 Beiaard beers were very similar, this one was perhaps the worst of them.

On tap at De Beiaard Café, Amsterdam, Netherlands 29.09.11 on a truly gorgeous, wonderfully warm sunny day. Pours a very yukky looking milky brown, not a great looker at all if truth be known, there was a small white head that tried to hide this hideous looking beer. Soft in the mouth, bit yeasty and spicy with light fruitiness. I never got much more and despite the looks it wasn’t as bad as I was anticipating. A6 A1 T6 P3 Ov13 2.9
