04/07/2019 @home - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck. Hazy orange, medium white head. Nose is malts, fresh fruit touch, bit sourish. Taste is malts, bit fruits, bit apple, bit spices, fresh ending. A bit too thin, expecte more of the rhubarb.

21 April 2019. At Republiek, Bruges. Shared with the lovely Anke! Pours hazy ochre-orange with a small, thinning, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of raw rhubarb, green olive, sourdough, apple peel, green banana, earth, onion. Taste is light fruity sweet, notes of unripe apricot, banana peel & yellow apple, supplemented by bitter rhubarb, green olive, hinting at vegetable oil, earthy & grainy as well with a sourish wheaty & lemony undercurrent. Dry, earthy hoppy finish, lingering (retronasal) rhubarb, grain & bread. Medium body, slick-oily texture, lively carbonation. A little rough around the edges but the rhubarb & earthy character is there for sure.

Bottle picked up from Dranken Vande Woude, Pervidje Dixmuide, Belgie and consumed at home Attenkirchen Sunday 28th April 2019, listening to Fontaines DC and making Lemon, Almond and Polenta Cake. Dirty puddle coloured beer with a white head. I am not sure that I get rhubarb on the nose but something more akin to a rhubarb and custard sweet, this comes through in the mouth also though the Saison base does give this a more refreshing and rustic touch. It's ok.

Golden colour with thin head. Aroma has a slight sharp twang but is not identifiable as rhubarb. Flavour is similarly non descript. It's like a stale Pilsener not a fruity Saison.

15/III/19 - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte), shared @ home, BB: X/2020 - (2019-381)
Pretty cloudy orange to beige beer, big creamy off-white head. Aroma: yeast, slightly sourish, bit fruity. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet malty start, soft acidity, fruity, some apples, not getting much rhubarb here… Aftertaste: banana, bitter touch, yeasty, coriander, spicy, more overripe banana, bit sourish, some tannins.

Very good light-yellowish head over hazy orange-ochre beer. Spicy, herbal, yeast. Definitely some greenery, but not identifyable as rhubarb. Sourish-sweetish, bit of human sweat; But main taste and finish are more neutral, even a tad dull. Medium bodied (but again, bit empty finish), some slickness, undercarbonated. Bit dull, actually not really bad.
