Bottle split at the last minute CBJ Tasting (big thanks Marcin for hosting), cheers to LKS for this one, 13/07/23. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a beige cap that clears to the edge. Nose is molasses, cherry skins, umami, dried fruit rinds, hint of tobacco. Taste comprises dark malts, charr, light roast, cocoa powder, cherry skins, hint of booze, mellow bourbon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Okay sipper but past its best.

Bottle shared in London - picked up in the US. Pours clear brown with a foamy, khaki head. Light sweet flavour, mild oxidation, the lightly tangy cherry saves it, some well toasted malts, subtle roast, earth, burnt toast. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Mild warmth in the finish, earth, tangy cherries. Not bad.

Bottle. A- Bourbon, cocoa. A- Dark brown color, opaque liquid, no head. T- Whisky, cherry, oak, cola, slightly tannic. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, fizzy finish. O- 3 years old. Great cherry and barrel flavors. Honestly tasted a lot like a Jack Daniels and cola. Not my favorite from CW but a great beer.

Vintage 2019, no abv & best before on the bottle/label; Very smooth & harmonious aroma but not like a punch in the nose, soft sweet bourbon, toasted sugar, caramel, brown sugar, raisins, mild ripe cherries, toasted bread, low cacao chocolate, no roast
