pFriem’s Prium is a fruit-forward Lambic-inspired ale with a modern plummy twist. You’ll think it’s grapefruit but really, you’re cascading through juicy, sweet Brooks and Italian plums from our friends at Sherwood Orchards. Rounded out by rosy hits of lavender and white spring flowers, its unique berry-like tartness is the perfect plum pairing for a night of doing anything. Or nothing. You choose.

375 ml bottle c&c. Pours a translucent pink, red, purple, copper melange with a small white head. The aroma is strong and tart with sour fruits--I Could not pick out plums specifically--but its a nice blend of sours. The taste is also sour fruits, but this time I can pick out the plums. I also get some tart light citrus in the taste and the malt base is bready and reminds a bit of the Rodenbach malt base. Acidity is low and that makes this go down easy. The palate is light-medium with soft carbonation. Overall: Decent: a winner

Taster. Appearance: hazy reddish golden with a white head Aroma: very fruity with a touch of sweetness and horse blanket Taste: a bit funky with noticeable barrel notes and some slight lambicish notes Overall: pretty tasty and refreshing, however it's not that complex and prominent as Belgian lambics

12.7 oz bottle from the brewery. Aroma is horse blanket, lacto, plum, berries, wood, vanilla. Pours lightly hazy orange-purple with a collapsing bone-white head. Taste is highly sour (9/10) and acidic with flavors matching the aroma. Nice beer.

27/08/2018 @home - bottle from a trade with hackobock. Hazy pinkish orange, just a small rim as head. Nose is sour, fruity, bit herbs. Taste is sour, lemony, fruits, bit vanilla, has some aspects of the better Alvinne fruit sours, but than again, as they state themselves on the bottle, feels sometimes like lemonade, not much aftertaste either.
