From tap at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam. Aroma is dark malt, dark fruits, berries, Bretty notes or is that the sake yeast? Flavour is light sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium. Curious beer, but I’m not complaining.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Alexey & Raphaela’s place. Thanks troubles. Dark brown. Caramel, roast, sake, nuts, fruits, licorice, flowers, some spiciness, sweetish, salt, umami, bitter finish. Kinda weird. Not really my thing.

330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with average, frothy too creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Salty, spicy, yeasty aroma, hints of salty crackers, dark malty and nuttily basis, a fruity touch of lingonberry. Taste is slightly dry, salty spicy, yeasty, dark malty, nutty and fruity, hints of red berries, lingonberry, salty crackers. Admittedly, "chokeberry miso walnut sake yeast porter thing" fits way better, but can’t be used here due to copyright protection and ennui FX.

Almost opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Fluffy dark malts, mild malt cream, modest roasty bitterness. Mellow spices and modest generic fruits, some candy fruits to boot. Light semi dry finish. Mellow and plenty going on here.

Bottle. Nose is plummy, nutty, toast, hint of coffee. Taste is fruity, cola leading to an earthy, toast, nut, soy, hints of licorice, spice, ash and wood in the finish. It’s aggressively, distractingly, carbonated. Playing all the right notes, but not in the right order for me.
