Dense amber brown colour, tall frothy beige head, fairly lasting, fair lacing. Aroma toasted malts, caramel, tart fruits, bit vinegar, some wood, yeast. Smooth taste medium sweet, light bitter and slightly sour, fruity, caramel, prune, raisins, sugared cherries, bit of wood. Fruity sweetbitter aftertaste, warming alcohol, hint of cinnamon, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; rich and delicious dubbel, very nice.

Bottle 0.33l. Lightly cloudy, copper colored. AROMA- pleasant, dark honey, mead. FLAVOR- neutral, touch of sourness, lightly bitter, honey and mead again, dark caramel. Medium bodied.

Donkerbruin bier met mooie schuimkraag. Smaak is zoet en licht bitter met iets van bittere chocolade, karamel en een licht port smaak. Heel goed.

F: huge, dense, off-white, average lasting. C: dark brown, opaque. A: malty, fruity, light fruity vinegar, coffee, chocolate, woody, caramel. T: malty, red fruits, hint of fruity sourness, chocolate, coffee, caramel, cherries, woody, hint of rum alcohol, medium to full body, medium carbonation, not bad, good balanced, could be more complex, 33cl bottle from Prik & Tik Dranken Marlou.

Many thanks for this beer to tderoeck. Piwo ma srednia piane, szybko opada, barwa brazowa w calosci metniste. Zapach wyrazny miodu i likieru czekoladowego. W smaku nieco przypomina Flamandzkie czerwone Ale, ale zdecydowanie jednak wchodzi tu miod i jest dominujacy, wyczuwalem wafle posmarowane czekolada, nieco drzewnej nuty tez bylo ale za slodkie, likierowate w dodatku beczka po Porto dolozyla slodyczy. Zdecydowanie ma za mocny slodki profil to piwo. Nie dla mnie.

Dark brown color, small beige head and some lace. Dark fruits, prunes and caramel with some wood in the nose. Medium to full-bodied. Sweetish, portwine-like notes, prunes, candy sugar, raisins, "abbey dubbel yeast". Short finish with light metallic notes. Quite robust dubbel. Not too bad.

Flaska från belgiumina box. Mahognyfärgade vätska med fint sediment och medelhöft skum. Söt doft av marsipan, russin och mörkt socker men också lite acetisk limdoft. Fin smakbild med söta russin, marsipan, plommon med lite kärnbeska, en lätt syrlighet i bakgrunden. Bra balans. Riktigt trevlig och ganska komplex dubbel.

Bottle shared. Cloudy brown with some floaters and a tan head. Aroma of caramel, malt, toffee, overripe dark fruits, light woody notes and light herbs. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Above medium bodied with soft carbonation. [05-09-2016]

Bottle. Brown pour. Aroma has raisin, honey, caramelised malt and spices. Taste is sweet, with raisin, sweet spices, honey, caramel and malt. Not very oaky. Decent.
