BB 30/06/21; Very aromatic on the nose, layers of honey & red wine tartness, wet barrel, red fruit notes like berries, blossoms, smooth vinous presence, notes of sweet butter/butterscoth, hints of jam with forest fruits, peach blossom;

Bottle from Etre Gourmet webshop, Grez Douceau, Belgium. Had this Friday 15th May 2020, still on CORVID-19 lockdown, listening to Breathless - Green to Blue. Pours deep Reddy/brown with an off white head. Dry, fruity, tart, sour, tangy, woody, funky and zappy. This is not unlike a barrel aged Flanders Red, good but not what I was expecting, also not picking up the honey.

Dark blond with lasting head. Aroma and flavour are dominated by grassy, woody notes. Sourish but too woody. Out of balance.

Clear amber beer, big solid creamy off-white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very yeasty, alcohol, very floral, dried fruits, onions, weird, more alcohol. MF: soft acidity, medium body. Taste: acidic, alcohol, very oxidized, caramel, rum, herbal. Aftertaste: very acidic, sourish, bit malty, grains, hay, caramel.

Bottle picked up at Six D Aberdeen. It pours hazy mahogany brown with a thick foamy white head. The aroma is juicy, ripe grape, musty, funk, apple, cranberry, toasty grain, honeyed cereal and sponge cake. The taste is dry, tart, vinous, juicy, puckering fruits, wood, spicy, leather, light tannin, juicy ripe apple, ripe grape, raspberry, cranberry, some must, funk, honeyed grains, sherbet, warming alcohol and hint of acidity with a drying finish. Medium + body and fine, prickly carbonation. Barrel aging has completely transformed the base beer almost beyond recognition. Nice juicy vinous character. All comes together well. Tasty.

Huge dense & fine off-white head over reddish amber beer. Swetish, diary, fruityoghurt, oppressive-weyish. Sourish-frutiy. Red berries and again a lot of diary, sweetened yoghurt. The vinous acidity is nice, but comes over as forced somehow. Slick, well carbonated. With a little effort and less sugar, this might really be good.

Keg at salty... Deep copper... Thin tan lacing.. Soft earth banana toffee.. Buggy fruit nose.. Soft sweet honey biggy barrels... Soft oily fruit

Amber beer, thin head. Tangy fruit and wine aroma. Flavour is tangy apple, wine, there is some honey that smoothes the edge of the tartness a little and some hop through the finish.Fruity finish. Like this a lot, a good tart sour but the honey lends it something and the barrel ageing definitely does.
