Black beer, smells of cherry. Taste is quite sour cherry, smooth and rich dark chocolate. Like a mix between a rich chocolate stout and a cherry sour.

On keg at 6DN Edinburgh. Appearance - deep brown to black and opaque. Nose - wood, booze and chocolate. Not specifically getting cherry. Taste - more booze and wood. Molasses and chocolate. Palate - rich and medium to full bodied. Boozy dominant though. Overall - good, if a bit unbalanced.

I Draught /I No head left, purple highlighted black beer. Madeirisation, portwine-like nose, fortified vinous, red fruit on old red port. Slightly sourish notes surrounding roasted, melanoidin-rich beer. Cherryganache chocolate, fruitacids, lactic. Well-bodied despite acidthinning, oily. Quite good!

Keg at Draft House, TB. It pours pretty much opaque black with a tiny white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, big juicy action, vanilla ice cream, marshmallow, ripe cherry and bakewell tart - exceptional! The taste is dry, tart, vinous, ripe cherry, earthy, musty, damp wood, leaves, leather, juniper, funk, grape skin, chewy malt, peppery, jam and a touch of alcohol with a drying, woody finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. The aroma is astounding - marshmallow and cherry. Taste is actually quite different and much more sour red/brown. Very good fun.
