watery schwarz. THe roasted malt was light, and this was pretty boring. disappointing really coming from these guys.

12 oz. bottle thanks to Willrunforbeer! Deep brown in color, thin lasting head. Aroma shows mild chocolate, subtle coffee, mild lager-like yeast. The flavor is the same with the addition of some mild dark fruit. (Raisin, prune) slick oily mouthfeel. Nice flavors.

12 oz. bottle. Pours an extremely dark amber color with a small beige head. Aroma of dark malts and stone fruits with some coffee notes. Taste is dark malt, a bit of dark fruit, faint coffee. Not much roast or chocolate present and perhaps a little thin at the finish.

Well balanced schwarzbier that goes down better than average for style. Pours pitch black with mocha foam head and good lacing. Aroma of light roast malt with a little dark chocolate, though palate is light overall as per style. Finishes with light bitterness. Soft carbonation. Bottle.

341mL bottle, pours black with a tan head. Aroma of toasted malts, roastiness, and burnt notes / charcoal. Flavour of tartness, toasted malt and light espresso notes - way too acidic for this style - not balanced well, but drinkable.

Very black body, modest head. Aroma is all roasted barley, leaning towards coffee hints. Taste is roasted barley with chocolate and coffee hints, well developed, but still a little rough. Smooth palate. Decent, but it’s an average black beer.
