Cherry Adam from the Wood is aged with locally grown black cherries in oak casks for 15 months. The fruit lends a sweet tartness to the finish, melding with the wood and adding a new dimension of complexity. The 2008 bottling celebrates 15 years of business for me and was aged in Bourbon and Sherry barrels. The 2009 bottling was aged exclusively in Elijah Craig Bourbon barrels.

Tap. Murky brown color with beige head. Aroma is malty, earthy, fudge, cherries. Taste is cherry tart, chocolate, fudge, caramel. A bit watery mouthfeel (wtf), low carbonation. Very good!

Tap at Borefts 2017. Murky dark brown with barely any head. Toffee, dried cherries, vanilla, bourbon, soft roasted oak, caramel, bitter herbs, sour cherries and light red berries. Over medium sweet, under medium bitter and sour. Full bodied with thin alcoholic finish and almost no carbonation.

Borefts 2017 day 2. On the menu as just Cherry Adam. Opaque dark brown with no head. Big sweet deep roasted chocolate and caramel malts deeply dipped in the juiciest of juicy cherry dip. Giving me about as much wood ad I can taste in this beer. Big massive wood notes. Juicy and rounded and so sexy sweet. Very very nice. Massive bidy and low carbonation.

Alcohol and cherries for sure. Loads of flavor, slight fruity acidity, some wood. All in a yummy, boozy package.
