Cherry Adam from the Wood is aged with locally grown black cherries in oak casks for 15 months. The fruit lends a sweet tartness to the finish, melding with the wood and adding a new dimension of complexity. The 2008 bottling celebrates 15 years of business for me and was aged in Bourbon and Sherry barrels. The 2009 bottling was aged exclusively in Elijah Craig Bourbon barrels.

Refrigerated 12 oz. 2015 brown bottle from BuckeyeBoy poured into a glass. Black with very little beige head. Aroma is dark fruit, medium body, low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is chocolate cherry, wood, and some bourbon.

Sample at Toronado Seattle. Cloudy dark mahogany color with a medium thin light beige head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of oak, cherry, bourbon and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, cherry, malt and vanilla. The finish is oaky with a cherry and bourbon aftertaste. Good beer overall.

I've heard so much about hair of the dog, their two Freds I had was mad skunked, they've redeemed themselves here in my heart. This is old ale love, thick and flavorful, boozy but smooth.

24-09-17 // bottle shared at Zwanze Day 2017 @ Mon Petit Café Stuttgart. Thanks for sharing! 2015 bottle. Great different dimensions in this beer, sweet sour malty base with red fruits, okay Wood caracter and some sherrry notes. Great.

@Borefts 2017 van tap, zwart met beperkte kraag. aroma van mout, kers, zoet, alcohol, bourbon. Smaken van kers, hout, bourbon, alcohol, glad en romig, donker fruit, caramel, chocolade, donker fruit, vanille, redelijk tot volle body, en wederom heerlijke smaken van een HotD bier.

Draft @ Borefts 2017. Dark brown color. No head. Aroma's: cherries, woody, light funky, sweetish. Retronasal it's cherry-ish, sweetish, mon cherie. Flavor is moderate sweet. Strong alcohol feel. Medium bodied. Long finish, dry, woody, tart.
