Haha, Mike was the last to rate this before Craigers and I did. Pours a pure black color with a medium tan head. The aroma is mostly coffee, some roast. A smooth easy flavor, milky, chocolate malts, coffee. Very drinkable.

Draft: Brown pour with a small tan head. Faint aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Mostly roast in the taste with hints of coffee and chocolate. Some nuttiness. Lighter bodied than I expect from a porter.

Black with foamy head. Not much aroma. Taste of some chocolate, malt, not much bitterness. Sweetish finish. A commonplace porter that will do in a pinch.

On tap at The Ram’s Head, Portland. Black beer with a tan head. Sourish choccy porter. Sweetish in mouth. Not utterly awful like the rest of the sampler tray I had. Some liquorice, some hop. OK
