Shaker pint draft at Wild Ginger in Seattle, Washington. Pour is deep golden, almost orangish. Small white head. Aroma of fruit and straw hops, followed by grainy maltiness. Nice fresh nose. Taste has a nice grainy maltiness, with the floral, apple fruit and straw hoppiness. Palate is thin to medium, crisp and clean. Nice Pils.

Sample at the Pike Street location. Pours a clear golden-orange color with a medium thin white head that dissipates steadily. Spotty lacing throughout. Hops, yeast and malt in the nose. Light-bodied and effervescent with flavors of zesty hops, malt and milld yeast and spices. The finish is clean and hoppy with a light peppery and spiced aftertaste. Average overall.

On tap at Elysian, Seattle. Gold colour with thin white head. Nice hop on aroma, bit of lager malt. Ooh that saaz flavour, I just don’t like, but it’s not stale and that crispness on the end is good. Competent, well put together. Saazy pilsener with great hop finish. Good pilsener

Draught Golden with orange shine; very small white rim. Faint hops, I can believe Czech, and a little fresh green leaves. Malt stays discreet; Good hoppy bitterbite, no metallic nor resiny tang. Malt again is just for backing. Light MF, "crisp" enough, specially in the aftertaste. Good pilsener, goes well with some of the food in the brewpub.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear dark golden. Sweaty fruit aroma. Dry with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Some raisiny grains.Generously hoppy with notes of mango and papaya. Salty, bitter finish with a metallic edge. It’s striking how many good American brewers that completely fails making a decent pilsener. Instead of even trying to achieve the desired malt character they throw in loads of hops, presumably in hope that noone notices the flaws.

Bottle Pours a crystal clear, very light pale gold color witha very large fluffy white head and substantial lacing. Aroma is a pleasant, slightly sweet grain, bready honey smell. Flavor is crisp, bready with some maltiness, and a not very strong hops slant. Nicely balanced. Fel is light and quick, and the trailer is a slight hoppy bite. Easy going down. Not bad, for a pils.

Tastes more like an American wheat, but with a more hopped finish. European hops are noticable, but not full bodied enough.

Aggressively bitter. Interesting citrus taste, from continental hops? Sure, what the hell.
