Bottle courtesy of cgarvieuk dregs run. Appearance - dark brown to black with an olive sheen. Nose - black olive. Salt and liquorice. Taste - toffee, molasses and black olive. Salt again. Palate - medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - really interesting. And good too.

And so it came to pass that six like minded people met on the 20th day of November in the year of 2016: those six people shared twenty five fine beers. This is one of those twenty five. 0.75 litre bottle. Dark brown pour, tanned head. Chocolate raisins in the nose, taste similar: Malts rule the brew and although I enjoyed this beer we had some Impy Stouts that were amazing, this didn’t reach those heights.

75cl bottle @ Rich’s 7k tasting. Pours very dark with an encouraging medium tan head. Subtle chocolate aroma, taste perhaps thinner than expected, although soft chocolate is present alongside some earthy dried dark fruits and coffee. Fine Imperial Stout, but much better were shared tonight.
