PALM Hop Select is a complex yet balanced top-fermentation connoisseurs’ beer with a reasonable alcohol content. Its specific hop aroma comes from the aromatic Hallertau Mittelfrüh hop variety. The carefully selected PALM yeast gives this beer its banana-like fruitiness, and the special PALM malts provide its subtle touch of caramel. Bottle conditioning ensures fine sparkling and an excellent shelf-life. PALM Hop Select undergoes hopping in three stages. An initial hopping at the start of the boiling process ensures the bitter flavour. The specific hop aroma comes from the Hallertau Mittelfrüh. This aromatic hop variety is added as a second hopping at the end of boiling and as a third hopping during dry hopping (end of fermentation), when Hallertau Mittelfrüh from our own hop field is used.

Dorada, de escasa espuma. Aroma malteado, notas frutales. En boca pasa facil, con buen punto de gas y equilibrada de base malteada, contrapunto floral, miel, ligeramente especiada. Muy bebible.

Bottle from D Byrne, Clitheroe. Golden with a head. There’s a few hops as the name suggest, but it’s a pretty ordinary beer with a fair sweetness.

Aroma is citrusachtig. De smaak is echter zacht hoppig. De nasmaak is licht bitter. Het drinkt lekker weg.

330ml bottle into tulip. Sour/tart nose. Hazy copper beer with foamy white head. Sometimes a big bubble, sometimes a few lines of tiny bubbles. Light, fruity and effervescent. Finish is short with dry fruit. Manages to be sweet, sour, bitter and easy drinking. Nice.

Bottle at home. Poors clear pale amber with medium white head. Sweet malts, slightly roasted caramel malts, corn, wheat, fruity hop, some resin. Over medium sweet, light bitter. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, slick. Carbo is low bit spikey with swallowing. Finish is long, sweet and dry with a hint of bitterness. Very proper brew but taste is flat and boring.

Donkergeel bier met schuim. Smaak lijk erg op IPA, bitter hoppig, licht fruitig zuur, brood, ietwat ananas. Erg goed.
