PALM Hop Select is a complex yet balanced top-fermentation connoisseurs’ beer with a reasonable alcohol content. Its specific hop aroma comes from the aromatic Hallertau Mittelfrüh hop variety. The carefully selected PALM yeast gives this beer its banana-like fruitiness, and the special PALM malts provide its subtle touch of caramel. Bottle conditioning ensures fine sparkling and an excellent shelf-life. PALM Hop Select undergoes hopping in three stages. An initial hopping at the start of the boiling process ensures the bitter flavour. The specific hop aroma comes from the Hallertau Mittelfrüh. This aromatic hop variety is added as a second hopping at the end of boiling and as a third hopping during dry hopping (end of fermentation), when Hallertau Mittelfrüh from our own hop field is used.

Bottle 33 cl. Comes as: "Palm Hop Select". Pours a clear golden with a lacing white head. Rather perfumy hop aroma. Medium body, some sweet fruitiness and then again loads of perfumy hops. Nice one. 120713

Bottle at home, Palm Hop Select, bought in 2013, done from memory, rating is just for my own. I will edit if I drink it again, decent beer, nothing special.

16/04 Another Marko’s, thanks! A 0.33 l bottle, as palm hops select. It poured a bit hazy golden body with bigger head. Quite weak hoppy aroma, along with standard vanilla and biscuit malt. Sweet flavor, malty, fine except ugly metallic note that lasts all the way through the aftertaste. Despite really being cloying, it’s simple and smooth so you get the feeling of medium bodied brew. Medium finish. Too sweet, unbalanced, needed more hops in other than ugly metallic way to be just fine, even if hops were not mentioned in the name.

33 cl. bottle as Palm Hop Select @ home, bought somewhere in Belgium. Hazy light amber with a white head. Hoppy aroma. Nice twist on the regular Palm.

Not very impressive. Flavour is rather sweet. Muted hop struggles to deliver any bitterness or bite against a citric and sugary overall taste.

Bottled 330ml. -as Palm Hop Select. Courtesy of Marko, shared with him and heavy. Golden coloured, small to medium sized white head, mild hoppy notes in rather fruity nose. Malty, fruity and pleasant hoppy taste with mild spicy notes in the finish. Pleasant but like Marko said nothing special.

"Palm Hop Select". Guess it’s this one, from Leuven, brought to Croatia. Poured a slightly hazy golden body with a small white head. Malty, slightly flowery nose, sweetish, somewhat caramelly. Hmmm... not that hoppy, caramel, herbal notes, light though, a pleasant beer overallm though nothing too special. Hard to have something against it though.

I’m disappointed, i hoped to get a beer with a good bitterness, but it isn’t. It’s a light Palm, a bit less malty. But where are the hops?
