You know the rules, Karen. Don’t talk to me until I’ve had my coffee beer. This velvety smooth porter is brewed in partnership with our good friends at Vigilante Coffee Co., making it the perfect brunch compliment to home fries, short stacks, and yelling at birds that keep trying to steal your toast.

In my point of view, a decent and roasty porter, rather mineral with a little side of cacao, malt, hop for pale ale, a bit watery, coffee, 07.03.20, at Epalinges.

Bottle. A- Earthy, stewed bell peppers, dirty, mild coffee. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, beige head. T- Earthy, dirty, vegetable, stewed peppers, stale coffee. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, skunky finish. O- This tasted rotten. The coffee was a terrible earthy flavor. Just not good and I thought it would be.

Sample at Pint Room Dublin during the Boulevard Pint Night event on 03/11/2020. Dark brown pour with a thin beige head that recedes steadily to a film. Sparse strings of lace. Roast coffee, malt and chocolate aroma. Medium body with flavors of earthy coffee, roasted malt and chocolate. The finish is roasty with a coffee aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle ordered online from Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds, and drunk at home. Dark brown and only slightly translucent with a small ring of beige head. Coffee is strong in the aroma, with a bit of paper and some blackberry and maybe a hint of liquorice. Taste is bittersweet and coffee-laden with a light creamy sweetness midway through, followed by a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. All in all a very tasty coffee porter.
