Bottle 330ml. w. swing top. [ As Vulkan Bräu Bourbon Barrel Doppelbock ].Clear medium yellow amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, vanilla, light alcohol - bourbon. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet, light light acidic and light bitter with a long duration, fruity tart, vanilla sweet, sweet malt, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light light alcoholic. [20140705]

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, fruity, vanilla and alcohol. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet finish with lots of alcohol. 050714

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are caramel, malt, vanilla, bourbon, wood, acid and fruits.

Bottle, 9.8%. Clear dark amber with tiny head. Aroma is malt, caramel, toasted oak and a little vanilla. Flavour is malt, caramel, little acid, wood, vanilla, medium sweet, little sour and toasted.

330ml bottle. Clear, amber colour with average, frothy, diminishing, off-white head. Concentrated Bourbon aroma, hints of vanilla, wood, tannic agent, leather. Taste is is slightly sourish, dry, tannic, astringent, sourish middle part with a vinegar touch, in the finish Bourbon notes of vanilla, some wood. Meh. Could be a welcom’d surprise for the Sourheads, although I don’t believe the sour notes have been intended. Above all the Bourbon notes can’t be exonerated from an artificial touch.

Orange-goldenes Bier mit geriner Schaumkrone. Geruch fruchtig, malzig, holzig süß. Geschmack sehr malzig, fruchtig, holzig, leicht alkoholisch.

Bottle shared. Pour hazy dark golden with a ring off white head. Aroma of light barrel aged butter. Flavor is rotten over moderate sweet old left in the sun ice cream with rancid butter on top. Bad.

Heller, leicht säuerlicher Antrunk. Hellmalzig, leicht herb, alle würzigen Noten scheinen durch die Säuerlichkeit gar nicht erst aufzukommen. Leicht alkoholisch brennend zum Ende. Nicht berauschend, ich kann mir kaum vorstellen, dass sich die Brauerei das so vorgestellt hat. 8/7/8/7/10/7
