330ml bottle and 8 months past BBE. Pours a very hazy orange-brown, small white creamy head, very good retention. Aroma is quite fragrant with lemon zest, citrus, background malts. Taste is citrus, mild zest, fruity, herby, champagne yeast comes through with a good bitterness and slight booze kick at the end. Medium body and soft carbonation works well. Wow, this is really nice, either its aged very well or this beer is even better fresh.

Notes from September 2009 Month old growler from Bierkraft. The only reason I go there really. The twenty-five percent plus markups on their bottles don't seem to affect their growler pricing thankfully($9.95 for the fill if you already got the glass & the polyseal cap). Inch of quickly receding beated egg whites. Pretty, table skirt trim lace, with a veil of ethereal scum floating on top. Dusty golden wheat body. Smell is big on alfalfa(ever have a guinea pig as a pet?) & stiff hop resins. On a smaller scale, baby powder, those wonderful ginger mint hotel soaps you confiscate from your little excursions into foreign beer territory, & at the very end, the harsh exhaust of pissy ammonia being it's only big detraction. Rindy tangerine & bushy greens upfront. Rubbing alcohol harshness brings a lemon, Theraflu-like astringency. Bitterness withers your tongue at first, but wipes cleal & snaps crisp with a little grass that continues on & just barely lingers, opening it up to the dry cracker malt laying in wait. Backend evens out just like a pils should it seems. Touch of apple though. A little time sitting out softens the hops greatly, giving it a pleasant orange juice note, but as a side effect, it turns yeasty as well(it doesn't float everyone's boat). Mouthfeel is awesome. Very crisp, big/rounded carbonation that just refuses to grate on your tongue. The beer is dry through & through, getting your mouth watering for another sip. The alcohol doesn't hide very well, & is my only complaint. I got the lemon, & the grass, but not the lemongrass. Not my favorite, but pretty unique. :)

Brooklyn Sorachi Ace Saison 7% Catpiss, sweet tarts and mild saison spice in the aroma. Malt gold with a fairly thick soapy bubbly foam and full body. The taste is spice, catpiss, sweet tart, mild saison funk and in the finish I sometimes got dirt earthy flavors. Ok for the 3/1000¥ Yamaya price but not for me.

Bottle. Pale blonde. Melon, citrus and hints of hopoil in the aroma. Oily grassy citric hopbitter flavor. Hints of dust and malty sweetness. Oily hopbitter finish. Somewhat perfumed. Quite decent overall.

Bottle at TGI Friday's. Yellow with a middling white head. Unripe banana and peppery spice up front. Bubblegum and a hint of tinned peach come through. Mildly dry finish with a light touch of cardboardy bitterness. It feels like it hasn't got much life to it, and the flavours need to be a bit fresher. However, overall it's ok, if a little dull for something of this strength.
