On tap @ Beer Temple. Black color. Beige, sticky head. Aroma’s: hard roasted malts, ground coffee, chocolate. Retronasal there’s also a bit of a weird, off aroma, skunky, hard to describe, that distracts a bit. Flavor is light sweet with a light roasty acidity. Medium bodied. Finishes roasted, moderate bitter.

Keg at Fermentoren. It pours jet black with a thick, dense tan head. The nose is roasted malt, dark chocolate, dark fruits and salted liquorice. The taste is rich, roasty, dark, light coffee, liquorice, mild acidity, sharpness, salted caramel and a touch of alcohol towards the finish. Fullsome body and moderate carbonation. Nice depth to it. The balance is pretty brilliant. Very tasty indeed.
