(Cask at Crown Rivers JDW, London Heathrow Terminal 5, 1 Dec 2014) Amber colour with foamy, beige head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, apricots, hints of resin and lots of fresh hops. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, apricots, a touch of ginger and fresh hops in a finish with a balanced bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Fresh and tasty. Nice one.

Cask pint in my local Wetherspoons on 30th Sep 2014. Mahogany reddy brown in colour, clear and clean, an off-white head on top. I thought it dry, bitter and hoppy. Had I known it was brewed to celebrate a Welsh Prince who rose against the English I would not have bought it. I actually enjoyed the beer but I will never have another.

Cask at the Prince Arthur (JDW), Fleet. A dark golden amber pour with a loose cream head; aroma of purple fruits; a big, full, mouth-watering taste, spicy and malty to begin, followed by a strong woody bitterness, and then some orangey malts; leading to a dry spicy finish with traces of grapefruit and licorice. A complex beer with a forceful presence, well worth looking for.

Bottle. Pours a near clear amber with a slight brown hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has some earthy sweet grains with a bit of bitter grass and a hint of biscuit. Flavor has much more biscuit with some earthy grains and a hint of grass coming through.
