Next, we decided to take our famous seasonal Christmas Bomb! and age it in whiskey barrels because nothing says Christmas like cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate, Spaceship Earth coffee, ancho chiles, and WHISKEY.
My kids leave this beer out for Santa every year, and SANTA IS VERY PLEASED ABOUT IT.

Sample at Churchkey is a translucent deep brown with some spitty beige head, legs. Nose is huge cinnamon and nutmeg and ginger, malt and cocoa and brown sugar. Flavor has all the spice, huge ginger and clove and cinnamon and all spice. All of them. Full bodied, spicy finish. Barrel plays so nicely. Well done. 8 3 9 4 15

Bottle from Tavour. Pours very dark brown with a slight tan/brown head. Aroma of cinnamon and chiles. Arguably full bodied. Flavor of cinnamon, chiles, chocolate, heat/whiskey, smooth burnt malt, and a touch of what could be coffee. Not exactly dry nor exactly sweet. A burning in the gullet sensation and hot spice lingers in the finish. It does suggest a Xmas dessert.

On tap at Prairie OKC, pours jet black with a tiny brown head. Aroma is intense, with loads of coffee, bourbon, chiles and cinnamon in beautiful harmony. Flavour is complex and wonderfully balanced, revealing a wonderful harmony of cinnamon, chocolate, chiles, coffee and whiskey barrels. The sweetness is moderate at best and is held in check wonderfully. This is fantastic.

Bottled 11.04.2019. Black, thick, oily, small tan head. Big smell of ginger, some speculaas spices. Smooth, rich, boozy body. Taste is way less ginger than smell, good. Sweet, with christmassy spices (ginger, cinnamon maybe) and coconutty bourbon. Lovely.
