Pale Ale - American Style / APA Regular
Score
6.61

Purchased this at Bierkoning, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Monday 30th September 2013 consumed at home Sunday 6th October 2013. Hazy orange pour with white head. Tastes more like an APA rather than an IPA, soft in mouth, little fuzzy, bit sweet, there is a hoppiness to tjis but its sonewhat subdued. Its fine but not one of the best from this brewery. Decent IPA. Has the usual fruitiness and bitterness, but in a very mild way. Too mild actually, which makes the beer not very interesting.

(Bottle, Café de la Gare, Den Haag, 21 Feb 2013) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with notes of citrus, apricots and biscuity malt. Fruity, slightly malty taste with citrus, peaches, a touch of honey, biscuity malt and fresh hops in a finish with a certain bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Quite nice.

330ml bottle. Clear orangey golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Aroma has notes of lemon tea. Taste is herbal, cautious hints of pine and resin. Not overly characterful.

Borefts warm up -bottle in the Hotel. Almost clear amber beer with a small pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and crisp. Minerals - sharp. A little fresh orangey hop over mild lactose pale malt. Fresh minerally finish. Not the big hit of US hops I was hoping for (by the label) but all right.

Amber colour with a white head. Fruity and rich hoppy nose. Rich fruity and hoppy flavour. A little bit too sweet, but very tasty and good.
