Chinook is vastly underrated as a hop varietal these days. One of the big daddies of the craft brewing revolution; its piney and resinous characteristics sing to the moon and back all things old school. We wanted to pay homage to the beers we grew up drinking, whilst retaining that characteristic Polly's new school haziness. With a new school fruit salad of pear, watermelon and stone fruits mellowing out the old school bitterness, this is a beer that celebrates heritage whilst keeping its eyes firmly fixed on the present.

Sampled at Borefts Pre-Tasting 2019. Hazy yellow color, medium sized white head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma and flavor are only lightly malty, grassy hops, grassy, sweetish rather than bitter. Hmm alright.

Can courtesy of Dad, cheers Dad!, consumed at home Attenkirchen Sunday 20th October 2019 after a 28mile return cycle ride to Urban Chestnut Brewery, Wolnzach. Now at home cooking Rancho Riojano and listening to the new Pixies album - Beneath the Eyrie. Pours hazy, yolky yellow with a white head. Very soft in the mouth, quite a pronounced hoppiness, a little hop burn, it's a good beer, the chinook comes through well.

(Can, 0.44 l - BB 23.12.2019, from Craft Beer Co Hammersmith, 20191016) The beer poured cloudy and pale orange. Its head was medium sized, white and it lasted long. Aroma had grapefruit, burning sensation in the nose and pine. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grapefruit, white bread, hop burn and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. An unbalanced brew with ugly looks.
