GBBF 2011. Cloudy dark brown with a small off-white head. Weak malty aroma with toffee and a hint of licorice. Dry malty flavour with toffee, caramel and roast, a touch of molasses, and a citrus and fruity hoppy finish

Cask @ GBBF, 2011. Pours brown with a small white head on top. Chocolate, fruit and chewy caramel. Toffee. Sweet and cloying. Warmth. A bit too much.

At GBBF 2011. Very dark brown with lasting beige head. Milk chocicecream aroma. Took me straight back to my childhood. Yep carries on into flavour but with a dried hard milk choc edge that isnt great. Its very choccy on finish. Oh i get this now its the alcohol on the end that gives it that edge. Unsubtle heat. Odd. Love the aroma and the flashback hate the finish.

Bottle at the brauhaus, 37.5cl
Very dark color, almost black, with mahogany shades, and small head. At first there is an aroma of blue cheese, followed by yeast, light fruity hop, and then some roasted malts; I got many Imperial Stouts like this in Denmark... It’s full bodied, round; chocolate and roasted malt flavor, some caramel, and traces of coffee; it has enough residual sugars; strong bitterness, maybe with quality hops; more chocolate in the mid-end.
Very good.

Bottled 750ml (BZ, BB 03/2011)
Very dark ruby brown color, small steady beige head, lace. Aroma of coffee, paper and alcohol, also some kind of herbal licorice. Medium-bodied. Sour beer (infected?), does not disturb first, but in a big bottle tartness is too much. Licorice, cough syrup, caramel, backing alcohol. Interesting mess although not something what was planned by brewery.

Cloudy dark brown beer. No real head. Light semi dry palate, soft. Low carbonation. Chocolatey dark malt. A little bit spicy and a little bit smoky. Some subtle fruit underneath. Quite a warming semi dry finish.
