Poured from bottle dated 5/2014 dark chocolate pour with a nice cocoa head. Aromas of roasted malt chocolate coffee and vanilla. Taste is nice creamy full mouth feel with balanced notes of coffee dark chocolate and vanilla. Wow excellent brew.

BOTTLE 12 OZ. Pitch black, dark beige head. The nose is full of coffee and chocolate - a desert with lots of cocoa powder - chocolate truffle or cake. The taste is mostly (sweetened) coffee and cocoa, chocolate cake. Surprisingly easy-drinking body, and nothing (like roast or hop bitterness) standing out too much. Everyone should start his day with a beer like this. Excellent.

Tasted from the tap on the 04/03/2016 (BCN Beer Festival 2016). Pours black colour with tan head. In Aroma the coffee is intense. Taste is coffee, malt chocolate, toffee with a warm coffee finish. Excelent beer. Next one please!

0.355 l bottle from ’De Bierkoning’, bottled in September 2015. Opaque black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, light brown head. Sweetish, roasty-malty aroma of coffee, milk chocolate, cocoa and some vanilla. Sweet, malty and slightly roasty aroma of milk chocolate, milk coffee, toffee, hazelnut and vanilla, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter finish with lots of milk coffee. Medium to full body, creamy to oily mouthfeel, flat. Intense, well-balanced and with pleasant and not aggressive coffee flavours. Great on the palate as well, only the aroma is a bit faint. Overall very good!

0,355l bottle at home from trade with bursprak, big thanks. black color, small dark-coffee colored head. smells of coffee, coffee grounds, bitter herbs, nettle, light notes of cocoa powder, earthy, light licorice, a bit musty / mushrooms, nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of coffee, coffee grounds, some bitter chocolate, bit earthy, hints of wood, also some vanilla, licorice, light bitter herbal again, a bit sharp bitter towards the finish. finishes dry and bit earthy bitter with notes of coffee and licorice. quite nice one, although not as spectacular as expected, drinkable but not my kind of imp stout.

12 oz. bottle. Pours almost black with a dark tan head. Clingy lacing. Strong aroma of coffee and roasted malt. Tastes of coffee, roasted malt, and dark bitter chocolate. The chocolate flavor intensifies as it warms, but takes a backseat to the coffee and roasted malt. Soft carbonation. Full-bodied. A bitter roasted coffee bean finish. Very good.

Bottle. Black beer with a brown head. Malt and light toffee aroma with light coffee. Caramel and toffee flavor with light chocolate and coffee. Medium-plus bodied. Coffee and caramel linger with light chocolate and light fruitiness.
