Barley wine was brewed from a range of ingredients, but our favourite is the English variant of this beer. Our barley wine is made exclusively from English ingredients. The residual sweetness is high, and with a few years of maturation those noble oxidisation flavours emerge. Sherry and liquorice are desirable characteristics of this fine, well-matured barley wine.

Uklår, brun, lågt brunleg skum. Aroma av karamell, smørmalt, knekk, nøtter. Smak av malt, sitrus, hasselnøtt.

(Bottle) Reddish brown colour, slightly hazy, with brief foamy head. Malty nose with caramel, dried fruit, dates, nuts, toffee, red berries, a touch of liquorice and spices (caraway?). Malty taste with notes of caramel, dates, nuts, red berries, liquorice, chocolate, toffee and a vinous finish with a mild spicy bitterness. Full body, quite sweet. A bit sweet and boozy. Tasty, but not very complex. Still, quite nice.

Mørk brun frage. Uklar. Lukter av brent malt, alkohol. Fyldig i munnfølelse.mørke stenfrukter, rosiner,alkoholvarme kjenner jwg. Mye smak. God litt salt avslutning.

Aroma malt rosin karamell. Utseende uklar brun med lett beige skum. Smak byggmalt karamell tørr frukt rosin alkohol. Kraftig fyldig. Flaske smakt April 2014, 75cl 10,5% Edit: flaske 37,5cl fra 2017 satt til lagring til 15.01.2028 og en flaske til 15.01.2038

donkerbruin tot zwart bier zonder schuim. Smaak is zoet en warm met iets van vanille, drop en zoet fruit. Echt een geniet bier wat mij betreft. Jammer dat het een dood bier is, ander was de waardering nog veel hoger geweest.
