It’s impossible not thinking of Ireland while drinking a stout! So our beer has been completely dedicated to Ireland, in particular to one of the most beautiful and appealing spot of the Emerald Isle: Aran Islands. This beer is our interpretation of the classic “Irish Style”. Color (of course) is dark and inscrutable. Foam has nutty glares and it’s thick and foamy. On the nose stand out notes of coffee, roasted barley, cocoa beans and caramel. On the mouth is silky, with a good complexity and the sweetness of malts has been elevated at the top.

0,33l at a restaurant in Parma. BB 28.02.2019. Almost black color, small tan head. Smells of coffee, earthy, light vanilla, bitter chocolate. Very nice smell. Light body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Tastes earthy, ashy, licorice, spices, peppery, light vanilla. Finishes lightly dry with notes of earthy notes, spices and light vanilla notes. Smell was very nice, taste was not as good. Overall still rather nice one

Black colour, small mocha head shows good persistence and not much lacing. Nose has soft roasted malts, milk coffee and a hint of red fruits: soft. Taste follows the aroma with a hint of leafy/tea like bitterness in the finish. Sweet entrypoint, bitter finish (much more than usual per style). Sweet and bitter notes are not very well integrated. Ligth to medium body, almost flat, decently creamy. Yawn

On tap @Buskers Pub (Rome). Pours deep brown with a medium off-white/beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, mocha, light caramel, chocolate. Flavour is well balanced, roasted malts, light sweetness with a good bitterness, coffee in the aftertaste. Light body, dry, watery, light carbonation. Not bad.

Sampled draft @ “Vini Birre Ribelli 2015”. Black, solid mocha head. Nose is soy sauce, herbal, licorice, thin, chicory coffee. Taste is herbal, chicory, leaves, caramel, ashes, powdery mocha & some sugar. A bit thin & powdery. A slightly better alternative for Guinness lovers. I am not the biggest fan.
