500 ml bottle, bb 30/10/2018. Many thanks to Werckmeister!
Copper-brownish, clear body, with a medium, fluffy, lacing, beige head.
Aroma of toast, spices, cocoa, dark bread, hay, some toffee, some roasted nuts.
Tastes quite similar, while with more dark chocolate.
Medium, a bit oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes spicy, toasty, a bit dry, medium roasty, a bit hoppy, with some cocoa powder, some bitter chocolate.

Very nice. Really rich and robust for the style, with diverse toasty and spicy dark malts. Especially the taste is lovely, with some dark chocolate notes I like a lot. Not my favourite Dunkel, but still a pretty outstanding example.

0,5l bottle in Brussels. BB 30.10.2018. dark brown color, small off white head. smells earthy, spices, caramelly, marzipan, tobacco. decent smell. medium body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes earthy, breadish, spices, peppery, herbal, tobacco, bit metallic. finishes medium bitter with notes of spices, tobacco and some peppery notes. I find this almost a bit too harsh (too peppery / spicy). Ok, but not totally my thing

Sampled at BXL festival from bottle left behind, thanks RB crew! Crystal clear deep amber with beige head. Nice crisp malts, caramel, soft toast, fresh bergs, apricot, raw cocoa, bready, quite some bitter grassy hops. Just medium sweet and over medium bitter. Medium bodied with slick feel. Nice look.

Two Seidla at the brewery, the first cask, the second keg. Lovely brown-orange, clear, with an airy, rocky head (cask). Malty, grainy nose, earthy hops, light fruit, orange and pear. Touch of roast in the flavor, rich malt but not sweet, bready. Peppery, earthy finish with medium to strong bitterness, more than usual for the style for sure. Awesome body from cask. slightly more expressive nose form keg. Full but not heavy. A great beer, but sure, but somehow did not live up to my very high expectations. I liked the pils better, and Knoblach’s dunkel yesterday too. Still, one of the best.
