Second try, MIND! Label says Ardbeg Barrel aged (and the sampling sure makes it a lot more plausible! Good tan head over black beer. Shoepolish, Islay malt, tar, seasalt, iodine. Wow! Tarred poles, Islay whisky, black chocolate, dark grapes. Less well bodied than the other Damnations - no doubt alcoholthinning; alcoholheat. This is more whisky than beer; I don’t buy Wild Turkey for this. Numbers given for the second version. 8/4/10/4/18

Bottle #1822/2000. Black color with beige head and beautiful lacing. Aroma is chocolate cake, peat smoke, raisins, wood. Taste is chocolate, berries, grapes, raisins. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation, light peat smoke and ash in the aftertaste. Incredibly tasty and totally unexpected for an Ardbeg barrel!

Bottle #1211 or #1811, it's difficult to read the numbers. A pitch black beer, a head is beautiful, creamy, medium, dense and brown. Aroma has strong whiskey, barrel and peat, liquorice, also salt liquorice, vanilla, some dried fruits. Less barrel when the beer is resting in the glass. Taste has roastiness, liquorice, quite strong sweetness of dried fruits, then dry barrel and whiskey, also peat but these are more balanced than in the aroma. Full bodied, not stickyness, smooth. The barrel is too dominating but it's still not ruin this beer. Barrel, strenght and brutal.
