Cloudy, hazy dark orange / light amber colored beer. Don’t really like the color much but the smell and taste are nice. Carbo average, medium body.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 17 July 2011) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with dried apricots, orange peel, marmalade and slightly toasty grain. Fruity, slightly toasty taste with notes of citrus, orange peel, marmalade, apricots, caramel and a generous citrussy bitterness. Slightly more than medium body, with some sweetness. Well balanced, tasty and very nice beer.

Colour, smell and taste are pretty fine, a bit average. Mouthfeel is quite dry so that’s why i only gave it 2 points for the palate.

Bottle from Bier Koning. Hazy amber beer, small white head. Light, smooth and semi dry palate. Smooth dry malt - somewhat lagerish. A trace of hop bitterness before a fairly dry finish. A little over dry but respectable.

Bottled 750ml (BB 08/2010)
Thanks bierkoning, Edo! Apricot, cardboard, fermented grapes. Medium-bodied. This is not a bitter but a Belgian ale. Flavor is moderate hoppy with fruity and white pepper spicey. Sweetish finish. Average.
