This stout is simply not suitable for vegetarians. It contains oysters. Now, you won’t find one at the bottom of the glass, but you may get a touch of sweet minerality in the flavour that comes from the freshly shucked lads that get put in during brewing. Not a bad way to go, even for a bivalve.Delicate and toasty, it also has slightly bitter, fragrant twist, thanks to East Kent Goldings.

Thin beige head left a spotty cover on a dark brown body. Malt & cream aroma. Medium bodied, soft on the tongue with a light clean back. Malt, sugar & quite a prominent oyster/shellfish taste. This is tasty.

Porterhouse Oyster Stout, Fläschchen. - Tiefdunkles Rotbraun. Sehr aromatisches, dabei rundes Stout. Schön. (On tap) Black with dense white head. Subtle aroma of dark roast malt. Medium bodied and very smooth carbonation. Dark roast malt with hint of sweetness at start and nice bitterness in finish. Decent stout.

Sampled at the brewery. Typical stout flavor with hints of salt water. Bit thinnish but nevertheless a very nice beer.
