Really good beer and quite unusual. Dark black pour with thin tan head. Aroma is a mix of golden toast and hops. Taste starts as a bit unpleasant vegetal but turns into big bitter hop flavor with undertone of roasted malty flavors. Very bitter finish. "Cold coffee with hops" is an interesting description but don't taste the coffee. Very hoppy for how dark it is - unexpected. Definite mix of stout and an imperial IPA. Yum.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a big creamy mocha head. Aroma is hoppy pine and orange peel, as well as coffee and chocolate. Body is quite full with soft carbonation. Flavour is burned malts with coffee, as well as hoppy notes of orange peel and grapefruit giving a long bitter as well as burned finish.

Poured from a bottle it is a dark brownish black with a tan head. The aroma is rosary with a fragarence if apricots. The taste is very strong bitter rioast flavor that resonated a hoppy stout character on the palate.

¨330 ml bottle brewed by Lervig. Pitch black body with a big, lasting, creamy beige head with lacing. Fantastic good looking. Nice aroma of dark malt, pine and strong, good coffee. Flavor is sweet, light roasted dark malt, pine and citric fruit, fine bitterness and coffee. Lots of coffee, actually too much for my likings. I love coffee, but find this unbalanced together with the hoppy beer. For me it felt like cold coffee with hops. Very nice for the too first sips, but not too impressed after finishing the bottle.
Aroma and everything else is great.

33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Økern. Pours black with a beige head. Hoppy and roasty aroma with coffee, dark chocolate, pine, roasted malt and hints of fruits and citrus. Lovely mixture of dark roasty flavours and hoppy ones. Medium sweet with a slightly dry finish with a nicely balanced bitterness. Medium+ body with slightly soft carbonation. Nice and bitter aftertaste with notes of coffee, pine and hints of citrus. Very well balanced and dangerously drinkable. Delicious stuff!

Appearance: Sinful dark black color with a small big beige head. Some lacing.
Aroma: Heavy hoppy. So fresh hoppy that I can not feel anything else.
Palate: Full to medium body. Moderate sweet and a nice bitterness. Soft to average carbonation.
Taste: Coffee, roasted malt and power hopped. Some grassy notes.
Overall impression: Tasty and powerful stout. Well this need to be stored. I will buy a new one tomorrow and drink at Christmas. It will be perfect.
Personal stats: Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Halden, Norway.
