BOTTLE 33CL from Cunningham. Thanks, Henrik!
Look: pitch black, beige-orange frothy head.
Aroma: Intense aroma of coffee-flavoured candy, old coffee, with burnt even smoky notes, bitter chocolate notes, some sweetness and light hoppy notes come through all this black aroma.
Taste: coffee, but not really roasted, strong hoppy bitterness with roast overtones.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks zvikar. Black with a tan head. Lovely aroma, roasty, with some coffee, kinda vegetal, a bit of burnt wood and some piney hops. Roasty and burnt flavor with some bitter piney hops. Medium-bodied. Very nice.

Geschmack sehr röstmalzig, angenehm cremig, schokoladig, erdig.

Interesting one here, I was looking for the difference between this and BGB, and using common sense, I thought it would be the addition of hops due to the name, sort of a black IPA but more on the roasted side than hoppy side. Although that is what Mikkel was trying for on this one, I’m not sure the profile works well. Trying to improve on BGB is a tough proposition, and I normally welcome the addition of hops to any beer but not this time.
