Our “San Diego Pale Ale.” Hop-driven from two key hops: citrus and pine from the wonderful and classic American Cascade, paired perfectly with the bright fruit and dankness of Australian Galaxy. With moderate bitterness and just enough malt backbone to elevate the hops, this Pale Ale is super-refreshing.
When it came to creating Ripper, we drew inspiration from the coastal surf cultures of SoCal and Oz. Sourcing classic Cascade from the Pacific Northwest and Australian Galaxy hops from…yes…Australia, we made a beer both lovers of frothy peaks and hoppy green buds will be stoked about. At the same time, we stayed true to our San Diego roots by pushing the hop boundaries of this style. While some might think it lingers on an edge far closer to an IPA, with all the dry-hop flavor and aroma, it’s actually right in line with the current-day interpretation of a West Coast pale. Ours just so happens to have an Aussie accent that’s cascading with a juicy amount of grapefruit and passion fruit hoppiness. So veg out or venture out. Either way, rip one open and taste this awesome golden nectar!

Can (#Kaufland's Kraft Korner, gebraut - vielleicht noch - in Berlin): Hazy, golden to deep golden, medium-sized lacy and slowly collapsing white head, moderate bitter-sweet exotic-fruity and hoppy nose, some piney spots detectable; moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, both soft and tart; lingering fruity-hoppy finish with a slightly increasing tartness in the aftertaste. Well...Quite an unspectacular brew...

Tap at Marciero. Juicy and balanced between citrus and tropical. Light maltiness behind it. Not the most exciting.

Can, 0.33l. Aroma of ripe mango, passionfruit, peach, grapefruit and herbs. Pours cloudy dark golden color with large frothy white head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts with sweet caramel and peach, following is grassy and earthy bitter, slightly medicinal, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is a bit astringent with long lasting heavy bitter aftertaste. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Hopstoned...

Can at Amsterdam pub m.d.Ravenna. Bright orange color, hazed, fine creamy white head, persistent. Aroma is juicy and fruity mostly passion fruit, pineapple, mango and orange. Light citrus, grapefruit. Thick pale malts, biscuits. It has kind of a lagery feel, but indeed super juicy. Smooth malty finish, flavorful. Thick body, creamy texture, average carbonation, proper bitterness
