Our “San Diego Pale Ale.” Hop-driven from two key hops: citrus and pine from the wonderful and classic American Cascade, paired perfectly with the bright fruit and dankness of Australian Galaxy. With moderate bitterness and just enough malt backbone to elevate the hops, this Pale Ale is super-refreshing.
When it came to creating Ripper, we drew inspiration from the coastal surf cultures of SoCal and Oz. Sourcing classic Cascade from the Pacific Northwest and Australian Galaxy hops from…yes…Australia, we made a beer both lovers of frothy peaks and hoppy green buds will be stoked about. At the same time, we stayed true to our San Diego roots by pushing the hop boundaries of this style. While some might think it lingers on an edge far closer to an IPA, with all the dry-hop flavor and aroma, it’s actually right in line with the current-day interpretation of a West Coast pale. Ours just so happens to have an Aussie accent that’s cascading with a juicy amount of grapefruit and passion fruit hoppiness. So veg out or venture out. Either way, rip one open and taste this awesome golden nectar!

Tap at B33r Gallery. /i>Hazy orange color with medium white head. Aroma of tropical fruits. Taste, short malty beginning followed by nice fruity hoppy bitterness with tropical cocktail. Very good.

09.10.2018, tap @ Stone Brewing Tap Room Berlin:
Nice slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head, slightly cloudy. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish grassy, leafs, moss, minerals, light malts, dusty hops, paper, bark, flowers, grass. Taste is slightly dry mineraly, weeds, minerals, paper, bark, old leafs, hay, light malts, harsh hops, sawdust. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly dry and harsh medical mouthfeel. Kind of boring.

35cl Can from Vonk. Brewed in Berlin. Slightly hazy golden amber colour, white head. Aroma of melon, pineapple, yeast, plastic. Flavour follows, light malty, melon, yeasty, sharp, some lime, bitter finish. Light bodied. Not great.
