Bottle, shared by bergstaden. Brown in color, unclear and with a small, dense, dark beige head. It’s lightly oxidized, with some alcohol and quite a lot of toffee and caramel sauce. Some dark dried fruits too. It’s full-bodied and lightly warming on the palate, with a low and pleasant carbonation level. Some pleasant bitterness too. Lasting finish. A bit heavy on the bitterness, but sure a fine and tasteful one. 151010

From a 330ml bottle on 27/6/2012. Pours a cloudy dark brown with no head. Has a strong, impressive aroma of rye bread, brown sugar, molasses, toffee and prunes. The flavour is complex, with sweet toffee and caramel malt, brown sugar, dark fruit and scotch whisky. The texture is creamy and the carbonation low. A really good, sweet, malty monster, which also exhibits some nice boozy, hop bitterness.
